A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Principal Psychologist in an exceptional small hospital based in the Harleston, Norfolk area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers.
This is a community locked rehabilitation hospital for women with a history of offending/challenging behaviour who have learning disabilities (LD) and other conditions including autistic spectrum disorders, personality disorders, and mental illnesses.
To be considered for this position, you must be a HCPC Registered Forensic Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist with Forensic experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake specialist clinical duties contributing to assessment and treatment of patients.
2. Provide Psychological Therapies for patients with personality disorder, mental disorder, intellectual disability, and complex trauma; develop specialist psychological formulations and assessments; formulate treatment plans and implement interventions for individuals and groups.
3. Provide specialist psychological assessments based on analysis, interpretation, and integration of complex data.
4. Administer and interpret assessments of cognitive and emotional functioning; assist the multidisciplinary team in diagnosis, problem formulation, and treatment planning.
5. Plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group treatments based on formulations of patient problems and best practice guidelines.
Preferred Skills and Experience
1. Experience or interest in rehabilitation and recovery of patients in a forensic setting.
2. Skills in individual and group work, program planning.
3. Use of complex psychological assessment methods.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, especially for complex and sensitive information.
Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a salary of GBP58,250 to GBP68,250 FTE pro-rata. This is a permanent part-time role working 18.5 hours per week. Benefits include:
