Your new role
As Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction team, leading the preparation ofpetitive andpliant tenders for framework-based public sector projects. You’ll be responsible for:
1. Managing the end-to-end estimating process for multi-million-pound projects.
2. Collaborating closely with design,mercial, and operational teams to develop accurate cost plans.
3. Engaging with supply chain partners to ensure robust pricing and value engineering.
4. Supporting bid submissions and contributing to strategic tender presentations.
5. Mentoring junior estimators and contributing to continuous improvement across the estimating function.
This is a strategic role with visibility across the business and direct influence on project success and profitability.What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
6. Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contracting environment. Our client is keen to consider candidates working as an estimator who are seeking to step into a Senior Estimator role.
7. Strong knowledge of public sector procurement, particularly frameworks such as SCAPE, Hub, or similar
8. Excellent analytical andmercial acumen, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
9. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
10. A collaborative mindset and strongmunication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in pricing projects within education, healthcare, or civic sectors will be highly advantageous.
