Projects Lead - UK Sustainability Job ID 244838 Posted 18-Nov-2025 Service line Advisory Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Environmental Consultancy Location(s) Edinburgh - Scotland - United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, London - England - United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Manchester - England - United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Job Title: Decarbonisation Projects Lead - UK Sustainability Location: London, Manchester or Edinburgh About the Role As the lead of one of our core portfolio level services - decarbonization, net zero, climate risk or wellbeing - you will be responsible for the definition of client strategies and programmes of work. You will manage stakeholder relationships and drive project excellence. In your role you will be expected to deliver work on key projects. You will report to the Sustainability Technical Delivery Lead and work closely with our Account Leads and Managers who oversee our client relationships. What You'll Do In the role you be engaged in the following: Project delivery: Deliver sustainability projects from initiation to closure. Collaborate with Technical Asset Leads, Delivery Lead and Account Leads to support with self-delivery of technical assessments for key clients. Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets. Ensuring the team and their workload is appropriately balanced and we are maximising the pipeline of work and activity. Stakeholder Engagement: Oversee relationships with client stakeholders and ensure delivery teams are engaging and managing clients and project sponsors, team members, and external partners. Clearly communicating project progress, risks, and issues associated with delivery timescales, costs and fees and ensuring these are being addressed where appropriate. Risk Management: Across the team and work we deliver identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, including sustainability, regulatory, and reputational risks. Maintain risk management plans and strategies. Performance Measurement: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and progress of all projects and address issues with the team. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across the team to identify and share best practices and lessons learned. Act as a subject matter expert for your relevant area of expertise, promoting best practice across Sustainability Advisory and CBRE, and providing clients with market leading advice and insights. What You'll Need Experience in Sustainability, with an established track record in project delivery in relevant areas of expertise in decarbonisation and net zero. Proven track record at getting the best out of others and providing the appropriate training or coaching to deliver their work and develop their career. A natural collaborator, able to foster and maintain relationships across teams and geographies. Proven experience in managing complex projects, including project planning, execution, and closure. Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and bringing forward recommendations for stakeholders to consider. Able to communicate concisely, clearly and articulately; and demonstrates natural ability to adapt their style to the audience. Demonstrates and adopts a commercial / business approach in delivering financial outcomes and able to translate this into practice in how they oversee their team and the work they undertake for clients. Understands the business drivers and needs of real estate clients and is able to demonstrate that experience when engaging with clients. Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong attention to detail.
