CNC Miller / Programmer
We are representing aprecision engineering businessinvolved inproject-based, special-purpose build environments. Due to increased demand across ongoing technical programmes, a position is now available for an experiencedCNC Miller / Programerto join amulti-disciplinary manufacturing teamproducingtight-tolerance componentsfor complex mechanical assemblies.
The Role
You runmulti-axis CNC millersproducinglow-volume, high-specification components. This is not repetitive production work - each batch is different and requires methodical setup, accurate inspection, and a strong understanding of machining principles.
Key Responsibilities
* Programming, setting and operating CNC millers (multi-axis).
* Producing precision-turned components to tight engineering tolerances.
* Using micrometres, bore gauges and callipers for in-process inspection.
* Adjusting tooling, offsets and machining parameters to maintain accuracy.
* Interpreting technical drawings, including GD&T.
* Working closely with engineering and quality across bespoke build projects.
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
Shift Pattern & Pay
Double Day Shift:6:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 (weekly rotation)
Rate:£18.00 per hour + shift allowance
Overtime and additional benefits available.
Ideal Background
* Experience programming and settingmulti-axis CNC millers.
* Confident usingFanuc controls.
* Knowledge of Fusion360 would be ideal but not essential.
* Able to read complex engineering drawings and follow controlled processes.
* Familiar with one-off or low-volume precision machining environments.
* Manual machining knowledge beneficial.
