Rise Above Care are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager in our established home based in Sheffield which is rated good in all areas by Ofsted.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated, motivated person with ambitions of becoming a homes manager. You will work closely to support the homes manager whilst gaining invaluable skillset. As our company grows, so will the opportunities to fulfil our management roles.
This home is a 3 bedded home for young people.
We are looking for dynamic staff to join our family and be part of the exciting adventure to change children's lives for the better.
Pay
£14.50 per hour plus £50 per sleepover- (Sleepovers will differ each month)
You will be part of a dedicated team who are child-centred in their approach and values-led in their practice. You will work closely with external professionals, including social workers, teachers and healthcare professionals, to build a comprehensive programme of care for our children and ensure that they are happy, safe and stimulated.

Hours
This is a permanent, employed position. Contracted of hours per month.
You may also be expected to complete sleep-ins which are paid at £50 per sleep depending on the need of the home.
Duties & Skills
Do you have what it takes to encourage and help our children to live independently and guide and teach them with your own life experiences? To do this we believe you will need empathy, patience, compassion, resilience and a positive outlook to parenting.
Essential
· Worked for at least 2 years in a position within a residential children's home.
·Worked for at least one year in a supervisor position managing staff within a care role i.e. senior position.
· Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People (or equivalent)

Specific Attributes: (preferred)
Preferable Level 5 in leadership & management or be willing to work on obtaining Level 5 in Leadership & Management
Proven demonstration auditing, managing budgets and monitoring skills
Evidence of Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 reporting
Be able to demonstrate how to develop a strong staff team aligning with set visions and goals
Evidence of working within a clear therapeutic frame-work (knowledge of PACE - desirable)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to take own initiative and lead by example
Experience with supporting Ofsted inspections (preferred)
