Overview
We are looking to recruit a Band 4 Mental Health Co‑ordinator to join our Mental Health Act team, providing administration in line with the Service Level Agreement with the Acute Trusts.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
Main duties
* Ensure efficient administration of statutory requirements under the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005 with Mental Health Administrators.
* Ensure compliance with the Acts, Codes of Practice, Trust policies and procedures, and maintain Service Level Agreements with acute trusts.
* Support clinical staff to comply with the MHA, MHA Code of Practice and Guiding Principles.
* Travel to sites as required to collect section paperwork and support acute staff queries.
* Create training packages and deliver them in accordance with current legislation.
* Create databases and maintain a register of audits in line with legislation.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of the MHA and Code of Practice.
* Previous MHA administration experience.
* Experience in training delivery to professionals.
* Experience with databases and spreadsheets.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
