Alliance Psychological Services Ltd is a leading local mental health provider delivering psychological support and emotional well‑being services in a range of settings.
Our Children, Young People and Family Service works in partnership with local NHS trusts and voluntary sector to improve access for children and young people in Tees Valley.
We are seeking an Informed Systemic Family Practitioner to join a transformative initiative delivering evidence‑based therapeutic interventions for families.

Job Responsibilities
* Provide assessment, risk assessment and therapeutic interventions for children and young people experiencing mild‑to‑moderate mental health difficulties.
* Manage the waiting list, prioritise assessment and signpost to statutory and voluntary agencies.
* Deliver outcome focused, evidence‑based systemic interventions in community settings for families with conduct disorder, depression or self‑harm.
* Use referral pathways and routine outcome monitoring tools to support engagement and adapt interventions.
* Maintain accurate clinical notes in IAPTUS and undertake continuing professional development.
* Receive clinical supervision and case management to meet required standards.
Person Specification
Essential Qualities
* Experience working therapeutically with children and young people in a mental health service.
* Strong case recording, report writing and case presentation skills.
* Ability to work confidently under pressure and manage caseload against agreed targets.
* Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding children and young people.
* Understanding of LSCB policies, child protection and safeguarding procedures.
* Willingness to undertake clinical supervision and engage in personal development.
Desirable Qualities
* Post‑qualification experience as a practising SFP.
* Experience working within educational establishments.
Qualifications
* Hold a recognised qualification through CYP IAPT (Diploma in SFP).
* Hold a psychology or other health/social care/youth related undergraduate degree.
* Hold a recognised membership of a relevant professional body (HCPC/BACP/BABCP/BAAT/UKCP/BPS/AFT).
Desirable Qualifications
* Hold a recognised psychological therapy qualification or other core profession.
* Is accredited with a relevant professional body.
Salary & Contract
£31,000 to £37,000 a year pro‑rata to hours worked.
Permanent, full‑time, flexible working.
