An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Neuroscience Theme of the Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit (CCTU). This role offers the chance to contribute to a diverse and innovative portfolio of clinical trials and studies in neuroscience and neurodegenerative brain diseases, including Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, head injury, multiple sclerosis, autoimmune psychosis, mitochondrial disorders, and other rare neurogenetic conditions.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the development of projects from grant application stage to trial close‑down under the Neuroscience Theme, including for:
o Products at pre‑clinical development stage through to clinical trials
o Clinical trials of investigational medicinal products (CTIMPs)
o Clinical trials of advanced therapy investigational medicinal products (ATIMPs), i.e. cell and gene therapy products
o Clinical investigations of investigational medical devices
* Oversee the progress of work and manage relationships with internal and external collaborators and stakeholders, suppliers and funders, including academic and commercial partners.
* Facilitate and coordinate the set‑up and conduct of national and international clinical trials and/or clinical studies working closely with various Chief Investigators and their teams.
* Provide line management and supervision to other members of the Neuroscience Theme.
Fixed‑term: The funds for this post are available until 31 January 2028 in the first instance.
