Senior Business Development Manager – UK (Remote / Field-Based) Basic £70K+


We are partnering with a leading provider of advanced automation solutions, renowned for delivering end-to-end systems across warehousing and fulfilment environments. Their expertise spans design, implementation, and ongoing lifecycle support for highly sophisticated automation projects.


As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in expanding the company’s presence across the UK market. This role focuses on identifying and converting high-value opportunities within sectors such as retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, and logistics.

The organisation offers a comprehensive suite of solutions, including autonomous robotics (AMR/AGV), ASRS and shuttle technologies, goods-to-person systems, conveyor and sortation infrastructure, alongside warehouse control and execution software (WCS/WES). Projects are typically delivered as fully integrated, turnkey solutions.

This position requires a strategic, consultative sales approach and the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across operations and supply chain functions.

This is a full-time, permanent position operating Monday to Friday, with a flexible, field-based structure and travel across the UK as required.


Key Responsibilities

* Proactively identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the warehouse automation space
* Establish and nurture strong relationships with senior-level decision-makers across operations and supply chain
* Manage complex sales cycles end-to-end, from initial engagement through to successful contract award
* Collaborate closely with internal engineering and solution design teams to create bespoke automation proposals
* Act as a brand ambassador by representing the business at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums


Skills & Experience

* Demonstrated success in selling warehouse automation, robotics, or intralogistics solutions
* Proven ability to manage long-term, multi-layered sales cycles (typically 6–24+ months)
* Strong technical understanding of automation systems (AMR/AGV, ASRS, goods-to-person, conveyor/sortation, WCS/WES)
* Experience developing commercially compelling, ROI-led proposals for high-value capital investments
* Flexibility to travel across the UK, with occasional international travel where required
