Lead Learning Designer
Full time (35 hrs/wk), fixed term for up to seven months
Remote place of work
Salary up to £41,413 pa plus benefits
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Learning Designer to join our Digital Learning and Media Services team at an exciting time of growth for the University. You will play an important role towards the student learning journey, supporting the development of our pedagogical approaches, learning design models, and methodologies that underpin our educational provision.
You will be essential in the development of our online modules, working collaboratively with academics and subject experts to create interactive materials and co-designed activities to support our students via technology-enhanced learning.
Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:
* Manage curriculum and/or module development workstreams, including all aspects of the design and development process
* Provide hands-on expertise at a senior level in the design, development, and delivery of all aspects of online learning, teaching, and assessment
* Ensure that teaching, learning, and assessment resources, developed as part of the curricula and/or modules, are designed and developed to reflect the Universitys educational framework
Our main requirements:
* Experience in designing active learning, either fully online or blended
* A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience
* A proven track record of effective project management including planning and allocating work, leading meetings, prioritising tasks, and reporting progress
* Experience implementing curriculum in a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and using other educational technologies to build learning activities and support teaching and assessment
