Ofgem
The energy regulator for Great Britain, https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/about-us/working-ofgem
Requirements of the role
Ofgem is working at the forefront of the fight to make energy regulation clearer, more transparent, and accessible. As we transform how we communicate with consumers and stakeholders online, we’re looking for a Digital Communications Manager to join us and help deliver high-quality digital content that supports our mission to protect consumers and drive the transition to Net Zero.
We’re offering a permanent opportunity within our Communications Directorate, where you’ll join a team of communications specialists dedicated to making a positive difference for energy consumers. This role provides the chance to shape the way we communicate complex policy and regulatory information through clear, accessible digital content. Working at the heart of our digital channels, you’ll help ensure our website and e-newsletter content is user-focused, engaging and delivered to the highest standards.
You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to support the development and delivery of digital communications that help audiences understand our work. Applying content design principles and user-focused thinking, you’ll contribute to improving the quality, clarity and accessibility of content across our digital platforms.
This role offers a varied and collaborative environment, where you’ll work closely with communications professionals and subject matter experts to ensure content meets both user needs and organisational objectives.
Job Description
We’re looking for someone with experience co-ordinating complex digital content for a range of internal stakeholders and writing and editing content for online audiences using a content management system. You’ll bring strong attention to detail, the ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment and excellent stakeholder collaboration skills, alongside knowledge of accessibility standards and user-centred content design.
In return, you’ll join an inclusive organisation where communications and digital expertise play a vital role in delivering meaningful outcomes for consumers. We offer hybrid working, generous civil service pension and leave benefits, and the opportunity to work with experienced communications professionals across a supportive and collaborative team.
Our communications team has a critical purpose to ensure our digital communications are clear, accessible and user-focused, helping consumers and stakeholders understand the evolving energy system and the decisions that shape it. You’ll help bring that purpose to life through high-quality digital content that makes complex information easier to navigate and engage with.
