Role Description
We are seeking a Compliance Coordinator Apprentice to join our team in Newbury, Berkshire. This is a great opportunity where you will work towards internal controls and regulatory compliance in the area of Data Protection and Information Governance. Supporting auditing and improvements of operating practices, and managing risks around data management processes of our company.
PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS BEING OFFERED ON AN APPRENTICESHIP BASIS WHERE YOU WILL STUDY TOWARDS THE DATA PROTECTION AND INFORMATION GOVERNANCE LEVEL 4 STANDARD.
Duties will include:
o Support the Data Protection Team and initiatives globally.
o Monitor compliance across the organization with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other regulations locally.
o Participate in IT and Data Protection audit procedures when required.
o Maintain internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practices.
o Implement the annual Internal Audit plan under the guidance of the Data Protection Program lead and IT and Cybersecurity Head.
o Assist with managing the Privacy Program globally (developing and reviewing training materials, responding to privacy inquiries from the business and clients, managing the Data Protection Team's ticketing system).
o Carry out DPIA assessments for specific projects or initiatives requested by the business.
o Participate in change management processes, addressing recognized gaps.
o Conduct ad hoc investigations into risks, such as new data protection regulations or onboarding new technology or solutions.
o Onboard and offboard suppliers from a compliance standpoint, review third-party solutions/software.
o Respond to data protection questionnaires.
