Overview
Lead nightshift manager role responsible for overnight store operations, replenishment readiness for the following morning, and safeguarding health and safety for all colleagues on shift. Nightshifts are typically 22:00 – 08:00, full-time over 4 nights with a £4,500 premium on top of base salary.
What you’ll be doing
* Lead and manage a small team of managers overnight, delivering all replenishment activities ready for customers the following morning.
* Plan for upcoming key trading activities and events by working closely with the store leadership team.
* People management, including pay and scheduling routines, training, communication and employee relations activities such as managing performance, absence, and disciplinary actions.
* Regularly taking full accountability for the store overnight, role modelling and coaching for high standards and efficiency across the store.
* Take accountability for the health and safety of every colleague on a shift.

Essential Criteria
* Experience leading large teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with a track record of developing leaders and building high-performing teams.
* Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences across complex operations through your team.
* History of delivering and improving KPIs—from sales and stock availability to customer satisfaction and colleague engagement.
* Experience managing sensitive and complex people matters with fairness and sound judgement.
* Operational leadership experience in retail, hospitality, or food service where you’ve owned departmental performance and led in the absence of senior leadership.
* Evidence of leading change—rolling out new ways of working, embedding new systems, or shifting team mindsets.
* Desirable: experience working night shifts in a high-volume environment and ability to create a safe, supportive atmosphere during out-of-hours trading.
