GSL Education is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Support Assistant to join a welcoming and well-resourced all-age SEN school in Spalding, Lincolnshire. The school caters for pupils with a broad range of needs including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
About the Role:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a student with additional learning or emotional needs
Assist with both academic and personal development
Support emotional regulation, behaviour management, and sensory needs
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to implement individual learning plans
Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH or PMLD is desirable
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
Comfortable supporting children with personal care or challenging behaviour (where required)
Hold a current Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one through GSL)
Able to commit to full-time, term-time work
