Join our team as a Temporary Accommodation Assistant at East Lindsey District Council to help improve access to housing for those in need.
The role is initially fixed-term for 5 months, with the possibility of extension.
You will assist the Housing Accommodation Manager in finding accommodation for households who are homeless or threatened with homelessness, as well as those ready to move on from temporary and supported accommodation.
Providing sufficient suitable accommodation is often a challenge, and you will help the team address this.
Typical duties:
1. Maintain a database of households needing accommodation and match them to suitable options, considering their circumstances and the Council's requirements.
2. Assist people in applying for accommodation and attend sign-up appointments in person if required.
3. Provide administrative support and assist with managing the Council's temporary accommodation as needed.
The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work remotely but will also need to work from the Council's offices and travel within East Lindsey as required.
