Key Responsibilities
As a Security Engineer, you will build and manage services that detect and mitigate cybersecurity threats across Amazon’s infrastructure. Collaborating with data scientists, software engineers, and other security experts, you’ll develop innovative solutions to protect AWS customers and maintain their trust. Your work will involve leveraging AWS technologies to proactively defend against security threats.
You will be part of a team managing security programs related to personnel security, physical and logical access, education, awareness, assurance, and cybersecurity, working with UK customers to improve security practices continuously.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
* Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP
* Experience programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, or similar object-oriented languages
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with AWS products and services
* Experience with threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, authentication, cryptography, system administration, or network security
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++
