About The Job Salary: NJC Grade 6 £26,409 to £27,711 per annum Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - 12 months Working Pattern: 37 hours per week Location: Current work base is Arun Civic Centre, Littlehampton. This will include directly supporting the work of social workers by updating databases, attending complex meetings to produce written records, and providing support to senior leaders to enable them to deliver their strategic objectives and key outcomes. Ideal Candidate You'll be someone who values organisation, clarity, and making information easier for teams to use. You'll also be confident using emerging AI tools-particularly Microsoft Copilot-to streamline processes and enhance the quality of reports and outputs produced. Experience and Skills Just a few key skills you will need include: Proven experience using Microsoft Copilot for professional note‑taking, content generation and agent creation. A strong understanding of CYPL meeting requirements, workflows and terminology. Ability to translate complex information into clear, user‑focused knowledge content. Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. Confidence working in a fast‑paced, service‑focused environment with multiple stakeholders. Work independently, confidently, flexibly and in close partnership with others in the Directorate and wider organisation. Good time management to manage short deadlines and conflicting priorities. Excellent Word and Excel skills, and the ability to concentrate over long periods of time to take accurate and comprehensive notes during meetings on complex and sensitive subjects. Resilience and excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with vulnerable individuals or those with complex problems, and occasional challenging behaviours from those accessing the service. Handle information with sensitivity and confidentiality. GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent qualification or experience operating at this level of literacy and numeracy. Recognised qualification in office skills or administration, or a business-related subject at level 2 or 3 of the national qualifications framework or have acquired equivalent experience within the workplace.
