Role –
We are seeking an experienced
Database Modeller
with a background in the
Power Utilities / Energy sector
to join a key project. You will be responsible for designing and developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support both operational and analytical requirements, while driving best practices across the data architecture landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver
conceptual, logical, and physical data models
.
* Work with stakeholders to
gather requirements
and translate them into scalable solutions.
* Perform
data profiling and quality analysis
, identifying areas for improvement.
* Apply
data modelling best practices
including normalisation, denormalisation, and indexing.
* Lead
data architecture discussions
, presenting solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Mentor and guide junior data modelers and data architects.
* Evaluate new
data modelling tools and techniques
to improve team productivity.
Key Skills:
* 5+ years' experience in
data modelling / data architecture
roles.
* Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with
Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
* Proficiency with
data modelling tools
such as Erwin, IBM InfoSphere, or similar.
* Excellent communication skills – able to present complex concepts clearly.
* Domain knowledge in
Power Transmission & Distribution
(Desirable).
