An established and growing national Corporate Tax team is seeking an Associate Director level Corporate Tax Lawyer to join its highly regarded practice in Reading. The team advises a broad mix of UK mid‑market and international clients on both stand‑alone advisory matters and transaction‑related tax issues. Requirements
* Experience within a transactional and/or advisory tax practice
* Strong technical understanding of UK and international tax rules and structures
* Ability to handle a varied workload involving both advisory and transaction‑based matters
* Experience or interest in areas such as real estate, funds, private equity, corporate or related sectors
* Demonstrated ability to deliver clear, commercial advice
* Proven capability to lead aspects of client engagements and support junior team members
* Suitability for an Associate Director level role, reflecting both technical expertise and growing client/leadership responsibilities
Responsibilities
* Provide UK and cross‑border tax advice for mid‑market and international clients
* Support and take ownership of complex tax structuring projects across sectors such as real estate, funds, and private equity
* Work closely with colleagues across corporate, real estate, banking, projects, and other teams
* Develop and maintain long‑term client relationships, acting as a senior point of contact for key clients
* Contribute to the team’s proactive, forward‑looking approach to generating advisory work
* Mentor and guide junior lawyers, helping to develop their technical and commercial skills
