This is a substantive consultant post in obstetrics. The post holder will join a forward looking and vibrant department and play an active role in general and high-risk obstetrics in this tertiary obstetric unit. The department has a national and internally recognised academic department with a very active research programme and subspecialty clinical services. The post holder will have a range of opportunities to develop a special interest, which could include gynaecology sessions. The post holder will have a community-based locality antenatal case load and will contribute to high-risk obstetric clinics. The post holder will also contribute to the core provision of core obstetric inpatient and outpatient care. This responsibility of this post will include having management responsibility for the tier 2 and 3 resident doctor rota.
