Eaching Personnel is working alongside a welcoming and well-established specialist education setting near Uxbridge to recruit a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs. You will play a key role in creating a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment both inside and outside the classroom. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN needs Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities Support pupils’ social, emotional, behavioural, and academic development Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and participation in learning Build positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff Support behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation where required Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience working with children or young people with SEN needs (school-based or transferable experience welcomed) A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing Confidence building positive relationships with pupils The ability to remain calm, adaptable, and proactive within a specialist setting Why Choose Teaching Personnel?
