Atkins Building Design Practice has a vacancy in our Leeds office covering the North region for a Chartered Building Surveyor/Building Surveyor to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, delivering a full suite of Building Surveying services. We offer varied and interesting work with high-profile public and private sector clients.

This position is ideal for Chartered Building Surveyors with post-qualification experience or those working towards becoming Chartered, seeking career development within a forward-thinking organization.
Your responsibilities:
* Working on various projects across different sectors, providing building surveying and project management duties.
* Experience with Local Authority/Government agencies is advantageous.
* Supporting the development of new and repeat business.
* Managing client relationships and ensuring service delivery per project.
* Project management, Contract Administration, condition and measured surveys.
* Design and manage small to medium-sized projects and conduct due diligence surveys.
* Stay updated on industry issues and best practices.
* Perform defect analysis, building surveys, and produce professional reports and specifications.
* Understand principles of quality, safety, and environmental management in projects.
* Lead multidisciplinary design teams appropriate to experience level.
Ideal candidate profile:
* BSc (Honours) Building Surveying RICS Accredited degree or equivalent.
* Full member of RICS, MCIOB, or similar (desirable but not mandatory).
* Demonstrable all-round surveying experience, client-facing role preferred.
* Experience in project design, delivery, refurbishment, and extension projects up to c£1m capex.
* Proficient in pre and post-contract project management, delivering effective client services.
* Strong team working skills, excellent communication, and willingness to travel.
* Fluent in AutoCAD; Revit experience advantageous.
* Understanding of Health and Safety, including CDM 2015 & BSA 2023.
* Experience in sectors like education, local authorities, healthcare, government, and infrastructure projects is desirable.
* Knowledge of standard building contracts such as JCT and NEC.
