HR Adviser - Ebley Mill - StroudReference: REQ0242Description: We’re looking for a proactive and people‑focused HR Adviser to join our team and provide high‑quality support across the full employee lifecycle. If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and making work a better place for everyone, this could be the perfect next step in your HR career.As an HR Adviser, you’ll be the first point of contact for day‑to‑day HR queries, offering clear, confident advice to managers and employees. You will play a key role in shaping our culture, developing our people, and strengthening organisational capability. You’ll support managers and teams through change, supporting on learning and development initiatives, and contribute to the continued embedding of our values and behaviours across the organisation.You’ll support early-stage employee relations matters, ensure our HR processes run smoothly, and play an important role in delivering learning, wellbeing and engagement activities.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their workload, problem-solving, and supporting managers and employees to deliver great outcomes.This role is an important part of the HR team and offers a variety of responsibilities and opportunities. You will need to be organised and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities, a self-starter who is motivated to deliver an excellent job with strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Maintaining confidentiality is a key part of the role with the ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy. Key responsibilities in the role include:Providing first-line HR adviceAssist with early‑stage caseworkHelp organise and monitor new starter onboarding and probation.Support with the coordination and delivery of training and development activities.Maintain accurate HR records and ensure systems are kept up to date.Help identify trends or issues using HR data.Facilitate employee engagement and inclusion, working with staff networks and supporting a positive and inclusive culture.Support HR projects, improvements and digitisation work.Contribute ideas to streamline processes and enhance the HR service. What we’re looking forCIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent HR experience (with the ambition to progress toward Level 5).Experience delivering HR or people-related advice in a customer-focused environment.Understanding of core HR processes and employment practice.Strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage a varied workload.A proactive approach, with the confidence to use your judgement within established policies and know when to escalate.Great organisational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
