Axcis Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in North Bristol to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant for a full-time, term-time only role, starting mid-January. There is potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate. About the Role As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will: •Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism in the Early Years setting. •Implement tailored strategies to support communication, sensory regulation and engagement in learning. •Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and parents to ensure consistent, child-centred support. •Promote confidence, independence and positive social interaction in a safe and nurturing environment. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: •Has experience supporting young children with Autism, ideally within Early Years or a nursery setting. •Is patient, nurturing and creative in their approach to SEND support. •Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff and families. •Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to apply for one.
