Job Description:

We are currently recruiting to expand our team of flexible Early Years and Family Support Assistants working as part of the Early Years and Family Service in Boston, South Holland, East Lindsey, West Lindsey, North and South Kesteven and Lincoln.

You would be joining an experienced and dedicated team of early years and family educators, working across Lincolnshire children’s centres and local communities to deliver the new Early Years and Family Service, supporting all children to have the best start in life. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and families providing high quality fun and educational sessions, while supporting child development, early learning, positive health outcomes and positive parenting, including emotional literacy, and working as part of an integrated early years team. The Early Years Alliance would provide you with exciting training and the opportunity to learn new skills and experiences to support your professional development.

* A comprehensive induction and training support package will be provided to the successful candidate.
* Support project staff in planning and the delivery of high-quality family sessions to vulnerable and universal families, including the evaluation of sessions and activities to encourage the engagement of parents in their children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.
* Pro v ide a c c ura t e info r m a t ion b y pho n e, email, in writing and in p e rs o n t o the famili e s and pro f e s s i o nals who c o n t a ct the children centre group, working in a mul t i partnership approach with vulnerable f amili e s, health, social care t eams and other pro f essionals.
* Ens u re a w elcoming inclusive environment and m a i n t a i n equipment and o t her re s our c es as directed by s enior st a f f.
* C omplete and maintain accurate records. Provide data and information to s upp o rt the completion of mo n t h l y an d q uarterly p erforman c e rep o rts.
* To support families in enabling children to reach a good level of development.
* A commitment to continuing professional development. Experience of working with families and children aged 0-5 years.
* Effective communication skills – able to communicate effectively in person and in writing, with professionals, staff and other organisations.
* Understanding of a multi-agency approach with professionals, early help teams, social care teams and other early years settings.
* Knowledge of the aims, objectives and ethos of Children’s Centres and other national developments of services for children aged 0-5 years.

A comprehensive induction and support package will be provided to the successful candidate.

Mileage from an agreed base is paid at 35p per mile.

Hours per week: As and when required

Weeks per year: 52
