Job summary
We are seeking Therapy Technical Instructors to join the Medical & Surgical and Network Services Therapy teams at UHNM. These roles offer the chance to work in an esteemed University Hospital, supporting teams across various clinical settings within acute wards at UHNM sites.
The ideal candidates will have healthcare experience, an understanding of therapy interventions, and will complete competencies in Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.
Main duties of the job
The Medical post involves working with medical and surgical teams providing respiratory, post-surgical, medical, frail, and emergency care across the West Midlands.
The Network Services post includes rotations through Trauma, Elective, Orthopaedics, Fractured Neck of Femur wards, the Acute Rehabilitation and Trauma Unit, Neurology, Paediatrics, and Cardiothoracic wards.
Supervision will be provided by Band 5/6/7 Occupational Therapists/Physiotherapists, with personal development supported through appraisals and training opportunities.

Person Specification
Education & Qualifications (Essential):
* GCSE English Grade C/4 or above or evidence of good literacy
* GCSE Maths Grade C/4 or above or evidence of good numeracy
Desirable qualifications include:
* GCSE Science Grade C/4 or above
* Therapy Apprenticeship (completed or ongoing)
* A Level/NVQ in relevant fields
* Qualifications in health/social or sports environments
Experience (Essential):
* Experience in NHS or similar healthcare/social/sports settings
Desirable experience:
* Therapy environment experience
* NHS experience
Skills, Ability & Knowledge:
* Ability to travel and work across multiple sites
Additional requirements include a DBS check and eligibility for Skilled Worker sponsorship, with relevant guidance provided.
