Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for an outpatient rehabilitation setting with a valid Michigan license and at least 1 year of experience.
Responsibilities Work in an outpatient rehabilitation setting
Day shift schedule, Monday through Thursday 7:00am-6:15pm, Friday 7:00am-4:45pm
No weekend, call, or float requirements
Patient care includes both individual and group Physical Therapy activities
May require cross-training and coverage for other Rehabilitation Services departments as needed
Provide direct patient care following the plan and goals set by the Physical Therapist
Facilitate family and community education as part of care
Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions and hospital rounds
Assist with program development and provide in-services in areas of expertise
Supervise Rehab Clinical Assistants, PTA students, and volunteers
Document care in the electronic health record and maintain accurate records
Participate in process improvement and serve on committees or task forces
Modules are self-reported, completed during orientation and annually
Locals accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
Requirements Valid Michigan Physical Therapist Assistant license required if applicable
Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required
Ability to lift and move patients up to 20 pounds, with occasional heavier tasks
Proof of Flu vaccination or exemption required
