Therefore, we require a hard-working, open-minded, passionate & humble individual within the role of U16 Physical Development Coach. The purpose of the role will be t o contribute to a world-leading environment and MDT provision by planning, delivering and monitoring physical development provision for academy players integrated with other domains of player development and support in the U16 age group.
This exciting new position in our Academy will be responsible for:
* Developing the physical programme for U16 players to support long-term development in line with the academy physical development programme.
* Supporting availability by ensuring players are prepared beyond the demands of the game.
* Supporting players in recognising their strengths and development needs with individual development plans.
* Supporting players in developing a rounded view of their holistic development.
* Planning and implementing training opportunities both on and off the grass to enhance player development and robustness.
* Integrating performance planning with other members of the multidisciplinary team to support efficiency of training delivery and optimise transfer to football performance.
* Integrating performance planning with medical staff to support player availability and rehabilitation.
* Utilising appropriate technologies to monitor player performance, maturation and development.
* Ensuring player data is managed securely and organised and presented to facilitate effective decision making.
About The Candidate
Do you have what it takes?
The successful candidate will need to hold the following qualifications:
* BSc degree in Strength & Conditioning, Sport Science, Coaching or equivalent.
* Physical development relevant vocational education experience such as UKSCA workshop attendance – or able to complete.
* FA Safeguarding Children Certificate – or able to complete.
* Emergency First Aid Certificate – or able to complete.
* Valid and accepted enhanced FA DBS CRC (Criminal Background Check) or be willing to undertake this check if successful
You will have experience of performance support in a sporting environment.
