We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Nursery Manager to lead our independent private day nursery in Ayr.
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the daily running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, learning and safety for every child. You will inspire and support your team, build strong relationships with families, and uphold the values that make our nursery a trusted and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, support and develop a dedicated team of Early Years Practitioners
* Liaise with the Care Inspectorate, and local authority education services, in addition to other external bodies, to ensure that provision of care and support is of the highest standard.
* Ensure the implementation of Care Inspectorate regulations, Health and Social Care Standards, Realising the Ambition and Curriculum Frameworks improve outcomes for children.
* Manage day-to-day operations including staffing, recruitment, and health and safety.
* Foster a positive, inclusive and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
* Understand the legal frameworks and procedures in place to ensure Child Protection and Safeguarding promotes the welfare of all children.
* Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and the local community.
* Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to all infection control and health and safety guidance.

About you
* Hold a recognised childcare qualification at SCQF Level 9 (BA Childhood Practice
* Proven leadership skills that allow you to integrate quickly into the existing team, whilst building rapport with colleagues.
* Strong knowledge of current Scottish early years frameworks and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and people management skills.
* Contribute to quality improvement and have an understanding of quality assurance systems that are used in early years
* A genuine passion for early childhood education and development, with a willingness to learn and to continually challenge yourself.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £37,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
