GSL Education are recruiting a skilled Computer Science Teacher to support schools across Barnsley, helping students in the S70 and S71 postcode areas strengthen both their knowledge and practical computing skills. As a Computer Science (CS) Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons in programming, algorithms, and computational thinking, encouraging creative problem-solving and guiding students to apply theory through practical projects. Core Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in computer science and ICT (Information and Communication Technology). Support students in developing coding, problem-solving, and digital literacy skills. Monitor progress and provide constructive, targeted feedback. Encourage creativity, curiosity, and independent thinking in technology. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching computing or ICT as a Computer Science Teacher. Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering both theory and practical lessons. Effective classroom management and clear communication skills. A professional and reflective approach to teaching and safeguarding. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
