Duties of the HGV Technician will include:
* Servicing and maintaining HGVs, Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs), and Motorhomes across the client’s fleet
* Fault diagnosis and repairs, covering electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
* Undertaking warranty‑approved work aligned with manufacturer specifications
* Conducting Department of Transport (MOT) testing (if qualified)
* Completing job cards and electronic write-ups using franchise platforms
* Performing electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs)
* Providing support and guidance to Apprentice Technicians as required
Requirements for the HGV Technician position:
* Qualification to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
* Several years’ experience beyond your qualification, demonstrating proficiency in heavy vehicle diagnostics and repairs
* A strong team player with a commitment to high-quality work standards
* Ability to produce precise repairs efficiently within a fast-paced workshop environment
* Motivated to meet targets and maintain high customer satisfaction
* An active HGV driving license would be advantageous but is not essential
