ROLE – Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION - Welshpool TERM- Permanent SALARY- £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience My client is a manufacturer of specialist products for a variety of sectors, and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the Welshpool area. The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment Experience with Sheet Metal/Metalwork/Fabrication is necessary for this role Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as Creo, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc. Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team Have the ability to carry out mechanical calculations Any previous experience of working with process machinery or steel / metal materials would be desirable Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Proficient using MS Office Excellent organisational skills and time management skills The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve: Working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers Producing 3D designs using SolidWorks and 2D designs with AutoCAD Liaising with manufacturing providers Being involve...
