Project Engineer

What you'll do:
* Support the Shotton Mill Project Engineering processes and the site wide engineering standards and technical engineering drawing databases.
* Support the Engineering Project Manager on accurate project planning and forecasting.
* Utilisation of the project budget control systems to provide reliable cost tracking processes.
* Support the Shotton Mill management of change process to control projects that can have an impact on operational risk.
* Provide thorough and timely communication to all parties during engineering projects.
* Ensure the completion and closure of engineering projects, including updating drawings, supporting the assessment of spares and routing maintenance requirements.
* Utilisation of the site asset database.
* Using project work to support a reliability and preventative maintenance culture across the site, through strongly enforced engineering standards and best practices.
* Collaboration with the operational side of the business and other engineering teams to support continuous improvement, whilst ensuring all stakeholders requirements and expectations are met.
* Focus on the long-term objective of reliable and efficient operational systems and plant process equipment.
* Utilisation of recognised techniques for example Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), to assist with the identification of improvement.
* Support the site out of hours breakdowns that have an immediate effect on safety, environmental release or plant performance.
* Collaboration with suppliers and contractors, obtaining accurate estimates to support capex and revenue applications whilst working closely with procurement to adhere to site processes.
* Coordinate and manage contractors whilst on site.
What you'll bring:
* HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in engineering discipline, with significant demonstratable experience.
* Proven experience within project engineering or related field.
* Experience in working collaboratively in multi-disciplined teams to deliver a range of different tasks.
* Proficient in project management software and a strong understanding of engineering principles.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Highly motivated, agile and results driven with the ability to problem solve.
* Excellent organisational skills, capable of efficiently prioritising work and ensuring smooth workflow
* Attention to detail and the ability to use own initiative.
