Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
* Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development
* Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
* Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
* Collaborate with colleagues to organise programmes and activities aligned with curriculum standards
* Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's development and daily experiences
* Support the onboarding of new staff members through mentoring and guidance
* Assist with administrative tasks related to nursery operations as required
* Drive nursery vehicles for outings or errands when necessary, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
Requirements
* Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting
* Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily nursery activities and staff supervision
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
* Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator) or equivalent
* Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
* Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or supplies
* Organised, responsible, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Pay: £12.71-£12.73 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
