We require learning support assistants at two sites for the same organisation – one in Ashford and one in Cranbrook. Both are small and nurturing specialist schools with between 50 and 60 pupils at each school. The schools are calm, quiet and orderly settings where pupils can be supported to develop academically and emotionally. The schools are graded outstanding.
The school’s vision is that every child should go to an inspiring and life changing school, have the best teaching and benefit from all services working in partnership with each other to ensure their future life chances are improved.
Excellent practice doesn't happen by chance. The schools invest considerably in high quality CPD for staff. For example, last academic year a number of staff travelled to New York to look at best practice in some of the schools in the city.
They are passionate about supporting their staff so that they can bring out the best in the pupils they support.
At the core of the schools is a drive to improve life chances of children. They will go above and beyond, set high expectations and improve outcomes by working together with others.
The most important trait the SLT are looking for is an eagerness to improve the lives of others, through teaching and supporting in your own unique and inspirational way. Therefore, unqualified teaching assistants are welcome to apply, as are primary and secondary school assistants looking to move into SEN.
