Overview
An opportunity has arisen to join the busy Andrology team at Pilgrim Hospital as a Medical Laboratory Assistant. The post is based within the Pathology departments at Pilgrim Hospital and is 25 hours a week. Following full training, the post holder will be an integral part of the Andrology team within Pathology.
Responsibilities
* Receipting and booking in andrology samples for processing.
* Dealing with telephone enquiries, booking appointments and provision of results to andrology patients, partners and clinicians.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Good numeracy and literacy skills and confidence in the use of Information Technology.
* Previous experience of working within an NHS and/or laboratory environment would be an advantage and working to tight schedules and standard operating procedures is desirable.
