PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The Accommodation Lead will lead and manage all elements associated to accommodation for the UEFA U19 European Championships 2026 on behalf of the Football Association of Wales, including procurement, budgeting and supplier management. The Accommodation Lead will also be assisting in the planning and co-ordination of the wider event operations as required KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY Work alongside external agencies to procure accommodation that fulfils project requirements. Assist with wider project team to manage and review project budgets as required. Act as the main point of contact for hotels, UEFA, Local Organising Committee and all participating nations for all accommodation related matters. Attend for duration of preparation and delivery of the Finals Tournament, overseeing a smooth and efficient accommodation concept. Responsible for reconciliation of accommodation related costs and overseeing billing as required. Assist with the planning and facilitating of all co-ordination meetings and site visits when required. Assist with the planning and co-ordination of the wider event operations as required. PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications and Experience Degree in Event or Hospitality Management or similar field or equivalent work experience. 2 years’ experience of Hospitality and/or event/sport management. Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours MS Office proficiency. Strong communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships with external stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure. Methodical approach to event planning. ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Due to the nature of the role, regular travel to North Wales will be required if the successful candidate is not based there. The appointment of the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and must have appropriate safeguarding certifications.
