Overall Purpose of the Role
* To assist and manage a caseload of both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
* To support the Employment Partner with casework and undertake ad-hoc duties as required.
* To uphold and promote the firm's reputation for high standards and excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
* Draft employment contracts, policies, and employee handbooks.
* Advise on settlement agreements / COT3.
* Undertake legal research and draft complex legal documents and correspondence.
* Maintain accurate case records using the firm's case management system.
* Provide high-quality client care, ensuring timely and effective communication.
* Support the firm's reputation and contribute to business development where required.
Person Specification
Essential:
* LPC graduate or Newly Qualified Solicitor.
* Knowledge of employment law and HR processes (including unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing).
* Understanding of the stages of a Settlement Agreement / COT3.
* Demonstrable ability to manage a caseload efficiently and accurately.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Commitment to client care and excellent service.
* Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Excel, and legal case management systems.
Desirable:
* Experience in multi-party claims or equal pay matters.
* Knowledge of TUPE.
* Experience managing complex tribunal claims.
* Previous legal practice experience, including drafting complex documentation and correspondence.
Salary dependant on experience.
