We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate male SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support children with special educational needs within our inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with students, providing personalised assistance to help them achieve their educational and social development goals. This role offers an enriching opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners with diverse needs, including those with autism and disabilities. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about working with children and committed to fostering an inclusive classroom atmosphere. Responsibilities Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programmes for children with special educational needs, including those with autism and other disabilities Support students during lessons, activities, and breaks to promote engagement and participation Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of teaching staff Provide behavioural support and encouragement to help students develop social skills and independence Assist with personal care routines for toddlers or children requiring additional support Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that encourages learning and development Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and external specialists to ensure consistent support Support the organisation of classroom activities, resources, and behaviour management strategies Qualifications Experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates Prior experience in teaching or supporting children, particularly in special education settings or toddler care, is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and parents Passionate about supporting children's learning and development in an inclusive environment Ability to remain patient, adaptable, and empathetic when working with diverse learners Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are beneficial but not mandatory; a genuine interest in special education is essential This role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute positively to the lives of children requiring specialised support.
