SEN Teaching/Learning Support Assistant Required in Shadwell, Tower Hamlets
Daily Rate: £103 – £110
Location: Shadwell, Tower Hamlets
Contract Type: 5 days a week (Full-Time)
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Long Term
About the role – Teaching Assistant:
Providing 1:1 and group support and assistance to students with special educational need’s (SEN) aged 7 – 16. Working alongside passionate and talented teachers, therapists and educators, the role is ideal for someone looking to support young people looking to gain confidence and life-skills while at school.
The role will consist of:
1. Offering support to the class teacher.
2. Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
3. Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.
4. Building good student – teacher rapport.
The successful applicants will have:
5. Previous experience working with Autism, Speech Language and Communication difficulties.
6. Previous experience managing challenging behaviour.
7. Ideally experience working with children and/or young people.
8. Valid and enhanced child or child and adult DBS check.
To be eligible for this role you must have an Enhanced Child or Child & Adult Workforce barred list DBS Certificate registered on the update service.
