Job Title: Scheduler - Regional Engineering Team
We are currently recruiting for a Scheduler to join our Regional Engineering Team based at our offices in Birchwood.
Reporting to: General Manager
Role Overview: You will be responsible for ensuring an excellent customer experience during breakdowns by coordinating and planning mobile engineering resources effectively. Your goal will be to ensure the quickest response to reported breakdowns, maximize the productivity of Mobile Engineers, and keep customers fully informed. You will contribute to regional performance, improve engineering standards, and drive efficiency across engineering operations.

Responsibilities:
1. Plan breakdown attendances, considering workload capacity, urgency, geography, and other factors to ensure quick resolution and effective resource management.
2. Schedule other field jobs such as LOLER inspections and overload tests.
3. Ensure a balanced workload for mobile engineers.
4. Raise purchase orders for work undertaken by third-party suppliers.
5. Coordinate external suppliers' attendance at breakdowns.
6. Review breakdowns requiring revisits and follow up on parts orders.
7. Coordinate machine exchanges with depots and admin teams.
8. Communicate effectively with customers regarding breakdown status and planned activities.
9. Identify, investigate, and resolve data anomalies related to breakdowns.
10. Produce and distribute technical reports and monitor KPI data.
11. Maintain up-to-date reports on breakdowns to ensure prompt closure.
Candidate Requirements:
* Based in Birchwood, with occasional depot visits.
* Good understanding of UK geography.
* Experience in planning and resourcing activities.
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with customer-facing experience.
* Proactive with the ability to prioritize daily activities.
* Excellent IT skills: Excel, Email, and internal systems.
* Good time management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
