Head of Project Delivery – CTEC
Location: Bedford College – Cauldwell Street Campus
Salary: £47,972 – £62,099 per annum (DOE), 35 days annual leave, bank holidays, local government pension scheme, retail & leisure discounts, professional development opportunities, and access to college courses.
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term – Full Time – fixed until 31 March 2029

About the role
We are currently seeking a Head of Project Delivery – CTEC to join our Construction department at The Bedford College Group.
Responsibilities
* Leadership & Representation – Provide strategic leadership across the CTEC Directorate and represent the department at local and group levels.
* Strategic Delivery – Drive planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of CTEC projects, ensuring alignment with group priorities, compliance, and industry needs.
* Team & Resource Management – Manage staff performance, development, and wellbeing while overseeing budgets, resources, and subcontractor relationships.
* Student‑Centred Approach – Keep the student experience at the heart of all directorate activities, ensuring high‑quality provision and engagement.
* Compliance & Governance – Ensure adherence to statutory duties, policies, health & safety, safeguarding, and equality standards across all operations.
About you
* Qualifications & Core Skills – Level 5 management and Level 2 maths/english, strong IT literacy, and financial management competence.
* Leadership & Team Management – Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, mentor staff, and drive organisational change.
* Project & Stakeholder Expertise – Significant experience delivering complex, multi‑site projects, managing budgets, contracts, and external partners.
* Sector Knowledge & Compliance – Deep understanding of education, skills, and technical training sectors, including funding, policy, and regulatory frameworks.
* Professional Attributes – Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills; resilient, solution‑focused, and aligned with TBCG values.
