Job Overview
We are looking to recruit a Laboratory Technician to play a key role in supporting safe and efficient site operations. Working within a laboratory environment that directly supports production, you will be responsible for the preparation, testing, and analysis of samples, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with strict regulatory and safety requirements. This position requires a strong awareness of working within a high-hazard industrial environment, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Management of the analysis and testing equipment (maintenance, repairs and calibration).
* Testing/analysis and reporting on raw materials, intermediates and products from site.
* Responsible for ensuring that efficiency levels are maintained.
* Ensure interface with other departments and activities.
* Provide cover where needed and appropriate for the shift pattern.
* Ensure that analysis is carried out and results reported in correct manner.
* Ensure cleanliness/ hygiene level of the lab is maintained at all times.
* Responsible for control of waste chemicals from the lab
* Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Working Conditions:
* This position requires working in an environment with exposure to heavy machinery and materials.
* Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Training
1. A degree in Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline (or equivalent)
Knowledge and Experience
1. Previous experience within an industrial laboratory

Pay: £35,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
