SHUNTER DRIVER
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Shunter Driver to join our well-established client based in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months driving, shunting and TUG experience
Shifts: Monday to Friday
PM SHIFT: 14:30 to 23:00
Pay rate: £20.00 per hour

Day to day Duties
Your duties as a Shunter Driver will involve but not be limited to:
Shunting of 45ft and double deck trailers onto allocated bays
Daily yard checks following site rules, health & safety guidelines
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Essential Skills
As a Shunter Driver you will need to:
Minimum of one year driving, shunting and TUG experience.
Valid UK Category B Driving Licence
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Excellent communication as they will be communicating with both Transport and warehouse, using a radio is essential to the role.
Desirable Experience
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Training
Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
