The Role – EICA Engineer As an EICA Engineer, you'll report to the Lead Control & Instrumentation Engineer.
You will play a crucial role in delivering a range of engineering projects that enhance our manufacturing operations, control systems, and instrumentation infrastructure.
Whether you're newly qualified or bring years of experience, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide range of industrial control systems and support continuous improvement across site.
Flexibility required around business needs What You’ll Do Support and deliver site-wide electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (EICA) projects Ensure both new and existing equipment meets internal customer needs and future-proofing goals Collaborate with project teams and contractors to deliver engineering solutions on time and within budget Maintain and upgrade control systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial networks Diagnose and resolve EICA-related faults across the site Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Maintain and interpret technical documentation including schematics and control philosophies What We’re Looking For We’re seeking EICA Engineers who are technically strong, proactive, and collaborative.
We also welcome candidates from a maintenance background who are ready to develop and grow their skills in EICA.
You’ll bring: A solid foundation in electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial communication protocols (e.g.
Ethernet/IP, Profibus) Strong fault-finding abilities and understanding of process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, etc.) Familiarity with control systems integration, especially in safety-critical or production environments The ability to interpret and maintain technical documentation A flexible mindset and the drive to contribute across multiple projects Why Join Luxfer MEL Technologies?
