39.5 hours per week (Mon-Thurs 8:30-16:30, Fri 8:30-16:00)

About the Role
The Best Connection are looking for an experienced and detail-focused Stock Controller to take ownership of stock accuracy and support the performance of our warehouse and supply chain operation.
This is not a basic admin role-we are looking for someone who can identify issues, take accountability, and actively improve stock processes within a fast-paced roofing and solar business.

Key Responsibilities
* Full ownership of stock accuracy across all systems
* Proactively monitor stock levels and highlight risks to the business
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies, identifying root causes
* Lead stock counts and implement improvements to stock control processes
* Work closely with warehouse, purchasing, and sales teams
* Support demand planning and stock forecasting
* Ensure accurate reporting for operational KPIs

What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in a Stock Controller / Inventory Control role (not just warehouse picking/packing)
* Strong working knowledge of stock systems (Sage or similar preferred)
* Advanced Excel skills (ability to analyse and manipulate data)
* High attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset
* Confident working independently and taking ownership
* Strong communication skills across teams
