Care Assistant FTC
Location: Old Sarum, Salisbury
Pay rate: £12.82 Weekend and NVQ enhancements available
Contracted Hours: 36 FTC for 12 months - covering maternity leave
Located in the historic Old Sarum, just north of Salisbury, Avon Court and Bourne House make up Avonbourne Care Centre. Each offers an elegant environment with compassionate, individualised care in welcoming, relaxing, and homely households.
We are looking for you to work as a care assistant making a real difference to our residents lives every day. Along with supporting daily routines and personal care (washing, bathing, supporting toilet use) we are looking for the right people to genuinely care for our residents and create a happy fulfilled life for them. Some days may be challenging but you will laugh, have fun and make lasting memories. You’ll become part of our extended family too, bringing kindness, exceptional care and dignity to our care homes.
We are looking for both experienced carers and those that are new to care to build our teams with diverse people who can bring all sorts of life experience to the job. We provide induction training and support, with ongoing development opportunities for you to really build a career with us. You will be a great communicator and able to build relationships and positive working and living environments. We’d love you to love your job.
Responsibilities
Support daily routines and personal care (washing, bathing, assisting with toilet use). Contribute to creating a happy, fulfilled life for residents and maintain compassionate, dignified care in a homely environment. Build positive relationships with residents and colleagues, and participate in the extended care team as a member of Avonbourne Care Centre.
Requirements
Open to both experienced carers and those new to care. Induction training and ongoing development opportunities are provided to help you build a career with us. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships in a positive working environment are important.
