Igloo is recruiting Experienced Recovery Drivers on behalf of one of the UK’s leading vehicle movement companies, to support their expanding Rapid Logistics division. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional operation, delivering essential vehicle recovery services across London.
The Role:
As a Recovery Driver, you will:
1. Safely and efficiently recover a variety of vehicles using specialist recovery trucks and equipment
2. Provide excellent customer service during vehicle handovers and roadside assistance
3. Accurately document recovered vehicle conditions and complete all necessary admin via electronic devices
4. Ensure high standards of safety and professionalism are maintained at all times
5. Work collaboratively with fellow recovery staff and support personnel
The Person:
Licensing & Qualifications:
6. Valid Class 2 (C) driving licence – Class 1 (C+E) preferred
7. Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
8. IVR training (Institute of Vehicle Recovery) preferred – training available post-probation
9. No major driving convictions (DR, CD, DD, IN, or TT99 endorsements not accepted)
Experience & Attributes:
10. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in recovery or tow truck driving
11. Sound understanding of vehicle recovery techniques and safety standards
12. Professional approach to all operations
13. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
14. Able to work under pressure and unsupervised
15. Team player with a proactive, flexible attitude
16. Willingness to undergo NPPV and CTC security vetting
