**PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING: **Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work suitable candidates will be baseline level (BPSS) clearable or eligible for this level of clearance**Job Description:This is a fantastic opportunity to join Marshalls Land Systems (https://marshalladg.com/) and their team of Skilled Electrical Installers, manufacturing and installing electrical circuits and communication systems into mobile workspaces and various electrical products and equipment based at their new site in Merthyr Tydfil (postcode is CF48 4DR)Rate(s): £17.17 per hour standard (uplift for overtime)40 hours a weekThe role is responsible for the installation of cabling, wiring, and electro-mechanical components into deployable shelters, under the supervision of Red Seal Industrial Electrician.Duties:Assemble and install electrical components into deployable shelters using engineering drawings and associated design dataRead schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work proceduresOperate standard equipment including but not limited to various testing toolsAssemble and install component pieces using hand and power toolsAdhere to all Health and Safety, and Quality policies and proceduresParticipate in the creation of job instructions, operating proceduresParticipate in continuous improvement activitiesOther duties as assigned by the Supervisor – Components & AssemblyEmployment Requirements:Essential:Qualification in BS7671 17th/18th edition Requirements for Electrical Installations (must be willing to upgrade from 17th to 18th if already held. If not held training will be provided)Prior Electrical Installation experienceMinimum three years' experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAvailable to work overtime as requiredDesirable:NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar disciplineCity & Guilds 2365 Level 2/3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Building & Structures, or equivalent electrical qualification)Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMED preferredKnowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Excel/Word, OutlookAbout Marshall's:Based in the UK, with operations in Canada, Marshall Land Systems specialises in the design and production of deployable operational infrastructure and mission support for humanitarian, defence and security operations across the globe.
