A specialist autism provision in Sunderland is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated and supportive team.
The school supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, speech and language needs and sensory processing challenges, providing a structured environment designed to help pupils feel calm, supported and ready to learn.

The Role
You will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils throughout the school day.
This may include:
• Supporting pupils during lessons and classroom activities
• Assisting with communication strategies such as PECS and visual supports
• Helping pupils remain engaged in structured learning
• Supporting pupils during social and sensory activities
• Encouraging independence and confidence
The school places a strong emphasis on building positive relationships and celebrating small achievements.
